I was born in Peru and immigrated to the United States of America in 1995. Life in Peru was difficult. I lived in a very small town with a population of about 1,000 people. We had no running water, electricity, or opportunities that would allow me to build a successful future.
I was about eight years old when the El Niño phenomenon hit my country, causing many deaths, including that of my two-and-a-half-year-old sister. It was around that time that I realized I wanted to become a nurse and help people during their most vulnerable moments. Due to financial hardship and a lack of opportunities, my family of nine siblings struggled immensely. Despite these challenges, I remained hopeful and worked hard to help my family.
Sadly, my mother passed away in 1994, and my whole world collapsed. In 1995, I had the opportunity to come to the United States to pursue my dream of becoming a nurse. In 1999, I became a U.S. citizen and learned to speak, read, and write English. My determination to honor my mother's life became the foundation that kept me working diligently day and night.
I graduated from the RN program at Moorpark College in 2009 and secured a position in the telemetry unit at Los Robles Hospital. Nursing is not only my career, but also my passion. I love engaging with families and older adults, helping them overcome their fears as health challenges affect their mind, body, and spirit.
Today, as both a nurse and the business owner of Two Girls Home Care, LLC, I embrace change and hardship and welcome resources that help support individuals and their families.

Our compassionate and dedicated caregivers must pass an extensive background check and drug screening and maintain CPR certification and appropriate training. I personally meet with families and clients to discuss their most important goals and needs, including personality matching. I firmly believe in healthy aging in place with trained, well-managed, caring people who support the physical, mental, and psychosocial aspects of care at home. We are here to support seniors so they can have peace of mind and live happy, healthy lives in the comfort of their own homes.
